In the late 20th century, Warren Holzman began a journey from sculpture student at Kutztown University to master blacksmith, eventually founding Iron Studio Ltd. in 1999. What began as a personal passion has grown into a collaborative studio where traditional blacksmithing meets contemporary design. For the first time, this exhibition highlights the individual voices of the artists and fabricators behind Iron Studio’s public works—iconic pieces like the towering pretzel in Pretzel Park and the Martin Luther King Jr. podium in Hawthorne Park. Here, they present personal, exploratory works that showcase their technical skill and creative range, transforming raw materials into powerful, expressive forms and images.
